Raman Club, as the name suggests, is an effort to create opportunities for everyone - especially children - to engage with science and maths outside conventional schooling.

Each of the RCs would support the following themes:

See

Demonstration of various scientific phenomena and maths concepts with interactive models, toys and exhibits

Explore

Allow participants to interact with the models/toys and play with them; try different variations, experiments

Make

Deconstruct and make the toys using simple material, allowing participants to tinker and experiment without fear, bringing out the creativity inherent in humans.

There are three key components of the Raman Club programme:

Profession Development Programme for Teachers

Demonstration of various scientific phenomena and maths concepts with interactive models, toys and exhibits

Classroom toolkit

A set of tools and resources to make a science class interesting and engaging.

Making activity

Where a child is provided materials in a Tinker Chest and guidance to build, experiment and explore science hands-on
